Apparently, NBC is pulling out all the stops for its second season of Heroes. Six more actors have been cast as regulars, not including the previously announced additions of Nick D’Agosto as Claire’s boyfriend and Dania Ramirez as a 28 year old Latina.
- “Alias” veteran David Anders, has been recruited and will play ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura’s (Masi Oka) childhood hero.
- Pop star and actress Eriko Tamura will play a Japanese princess.
- Barry Shabaka Henley will play Detective Fuller, a New York police officer.
- Holt McCallany will play Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.
- Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron will play nice and mean cheerleaders, respectively, in Los Angeles, where Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) is expected to relocate.
So there you have it. Eight more cast regulars total probably means that a lot of people will be dying next season. “Heroes” began shooting season 2 this week and we’ll have to rough it approximately 3 more months without seeing a new episode. Enjoy your summer folks, it’s going to be an intense fall!
